Overview
Cervical Rib Syndrome is a disease state in which there is compression of the subclavian artery, subclavian vein, and brachial plexus at the site of the thoracic outlet caused by a cervical rib or fascial band connecting the tip of a cervical rib with the first thoracic rib.
Diagnosis
Symptoms
- Pain in the neck
- Pain in the shoulder radiating into the upper extremity
- Paresis and or paralysis of muscles innervated by the brachial plexus innervated muscles;
- Sensory loss
- Paresthesias
- Limb ischemia
- Edema [1]
