Laboratory Findings
Laboratory findings in patients with atrial flutter include:
- Complete blood count - to look for anemia
- Differential count - in pericarditis
- Thyroid function tests - to look for hyperthyroidism
- Blood gas analysis is done to look for hypoxia and carbonmonoxide poisoning
- ESR
- Urinalysis
- Liver function tests
- Pre-warfarin coagulation screen (INR/aPTT)
