Other Imaging Findings

Arteriography

• Gallbladder arteriography is a useful diagnostic modality to differentiate between acute calculous and acalculous cholecystitis.
• In cases of gallstone disease, there is noticeable arterial dilatation with extensive venous filling.
• In acalculous gallstone disease, multiple arterial occlusions with minimal to-absent venous filling are noticed.
