Tertiary Prevention
The following precautions should be taken to prevent complications in a patient with Andersen-Tawil syndrome:
- Caution while prescribing certain antiarrhythmics such as those belonging to class I as they may paradoxically exacerbate the neuromuscular symptoms.
- Caution should be maintained while administering anesthesia to these patients to prevent malignant hyperthermia.
