Definition

Gastrointestinal bleeding refers to any bleeding that occurs in gastrointestinal tract from the pharynx to the rectum.

Causes

Life Threatening Causes

Life-threatening causes include conditions which may result in death or permanent disability within 24 hours if left untreated.
