There are no laboratory abnormalities diagnostic of vitiligo. Consideration should be given to ordering laboratory studies to exclude the presence of other associated conditions such as [[pernicious anemia]], [[Addison's disease]] and thyroid disease.
Commonly patients with vitiligo do not show laboratory abnormalities.
