Bronchoalveolar Lavage
Bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluids can be submitted for cultures and PCR in pediatric patients.
Thoracocentesis
Thoracocentesis may be performed to obtain pleural fluid samples in the presence of significant effusion.
