Overview
Chest positron emission tomography (PET) may be considered for diagnosis of metastatic lesions among patients who have been diagnosed with stage IV melanoma and for secondary prevention of melanoma among patients who were previously diagnosed with Stage IIB-IV melanoma.[1]
Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
There are no chest PET findings associated with melanoma.
- Chest PET may be considered for diagnosis of metastatic lesions in the following conditions:[1]
- For patients who have been diagnosed with stage IV melanoma
- For secondary prevention of melanoma among patients who were previously diagnosed with Stage IIB-IV melanoma
