Classification
The histologic types of gallbladder cancer include the following.[1]
- The most common type is gallbladder adenocarcinoma
- Carcinoma in situ
- Adenocarcinoma, not otherwise specified (NOS)
- Papillary carcinoma
- Adenocarcinoma]], intestinal type
- Mucinous carcinoma
- Clear cell adenocarcinoma
- Signet-ring cell carcinoma
- Adenosquamous carcinoma
- Squamous cell carcinoma
- Small cell (oat cell) carcinoma(Grade 4 by definition)
- Undifferentiated carcinoma(Grade 4 by definition)
- Carcinoma, NOS
- Carcinosarcoma
