Causes
In the normal pancreas, cells called islet cells produce hormones that regulate a variety of bodily functions, such as blood sugar level and the production of stomach acid.
Islet cell tumors include:
- Gastrinomas (Zollinger-Ellison syndrome)
- Glucagonomas
- Insulinomas
