Overview
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) classification system, ganglioglioma may be classified into 4 subgroups based on the severity of disease and degree of cellular differentiation.
Classification
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) classification system, ganglioglioma may be classified into the following 3 subgroups:[1]
- WHO Grade I: Well-differentiated, benign ganglioglioma with slow growth
- WHO Grade II: Benign ganglioglioma with less degree of differentiation compared to grade 1
- WHO Grade III: Anaplasic, malignant ganglioglioma with rapid growth
