• Brain MRI may be helpful in the diagnosis of oligodendroglioma.
• Findings on MRI suggestive of oligodendroglioma are listed below:
  • Round or oval sharply marginated mass involving the cortex or subcortical white matter
  • Hypodense to isodense
  • Calcification (70-90%)
  • Hemorrhage
  • Overlying skull may show pressure erosion
  • Ill-defined enhancement following intravenous contrast material administration
