Overview
Choriocarcinoma must be differentiated from non neoplasticdiseases, neoplastic diseases, and [differential dx3].
Differentiating choriocarcinoma from other diseases
- Choriocarcinoma must be differentiated from other non neoplasticdiseases such as:
- Hydatidiform mole (50% of cases)
- Spontaneous abortion (20% of cases)
- Ectopic pregnancy (2% of cases)
- Normal term pregnancy (20-30% of cases)
- Choriocarcinoma must be differentiated from other neoplastic diseases such as:
- Invasive hydatidiform mole.
- Placental site trophoblastic tumour (PSTT).
- Mixed germ cell tumour - esp. for testicular and ovarian tumours.
- Choriocarcinoma must be differentiated from other
- Spontaneous abortion (20% of cases)
- Ectopic pregnancy (2% of cases)
- Normal term pregnancy (20-30% of cases)
