* Recurrent fluctuating mass
* 30-60 yo males
* Bluish translucent color
* Intermittent pain and swelling which suddenly get worse before meals
* Located at the inner surface of the lower lip or floor of the mouth
* Tenderness, erythema, and a palpable hard lump at submandibular gland region
* 1 mm to 3 cm
* Pus discharging from the duct (infection)
 
* radiopaque mass in duct of submandibular gland on Xray
* Granulation tissue surrounding mucin
* Filling defect within the duct on sialographygland may appear enlarged, hyperdense, and associated
* No epithelial lining
* Neutrophils and foamy histiocytes may be present
