- 50 yo male
- Asymptomatic
- Incidental finding
- Variable size
- Clear to straw-colored fluid
- Rupture of a simple renal cyst can cause hematuria and/or flank pain
- Oval shape anechoic mass on U/S
- Well-marginated lesion with thin smooth walls
- Strong posterior acoustic enhancement
- Cyst surrounded by a single layer of flattened , cuboidal, or atrophic epithelium
