- Epiphyses of the long bones
- Solitary expansile eccentrically-placed lytic lesion
- Intratumoral hemorrhage present

- Uniform and regular distribution of multinucleated giant cells and mononuclear stromal cells
- Hemorrhage, necrosis, and hemosiderin deposition
