Overview
Chest and dental x-rays may be performed to detect metastases of tongue cancer to the lungs and mandible.
Chest X Ray
Chest X ray may be used as the radiographic study in the evaluation for distant metastases to the chest.
Dental radiographs
Periapical dental films provide fine details and are useful for detecting minimal invasion of the mandible.
