- Acute pyelonephritis
- Urethritis
- Prostatitis
- Vulvovaginitis
- Urethral strictures or diverticula
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia
- Neoplasms such as renal cell carcinoma and cancers of the bladder, prostate, and penis
