Differential Diagnosis
Mast cell tumor must be differentiated from other diseases that cause elevated serum tryptase levels and cytopenia, such as:
- Myelodysplastic syndrome
- Primary myelofibrosis
- Essential thrombocythemia
- Chronic eosinophilic leukemia
