Overview
Allergic colitis is most commonly caused by allergy to cow's milk protein. Majority of individuals with allergic colitis (60%), have allergy to a single food.
Causes
The most common cause of allergic colitis is cow's milk protein allergy, which accounts for 50% to 65% of reports. Cow's milk protein and soy protein together account for about 75% of the causes. [1][2]
