Overview
General screening for bacterial vaginosis is not recommended. According to the United States Preventive Services Task Force, evidence is insufficient to recommend routine screening for bacterial vaginosis (BV) in asymptomatic pregnant women at high or low risk for preterm delivery for the prevention of preterm birth.[1]
