Primary sclerosing cholangitis is a progressive disease that ultimately leads to end-stage liver disease (ESLD). Endoscopic management can be targeted for dominant strictures or as palliative treatment. However, current gold standard of treatment for primary sclerosing cholangitis is liver transplantation.
