Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

• Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy is normal in patients with tropical sprue.
• Biopsy of the duodenal mucosa will reveal the following features:
  • Incomplete villous blunting
  • Intra epithelial lymphocytosis
  • Eosinophilic infilteration of the mucosa
