Primary Prevention
These measures are recommended to avoid intestinal taeniasis:
- Avoiding raw or undercooked pork and other meats.
- Not eating meat of pigs that are likely to be infected with the tapeworm.
- Washing hands with soap and water after using the toilet and before handling food, especially when traveling in developing countries.
- Washing and peeling all raw vegetables and fruits before eating.In addition to avoiding food that may be contaminated with feces.
