• In case of failed imaging( US-CT-MRI ) to diagnose insulinoma, more adiitional tests need to be done.

• Test can be performed to distinguish between insulinoma and islet-cell hypertrophy.

• Injection of calcium gluconate into splanchnic arteries and venous sampling searching for insulin.[20]

• In insulinoma, test is positive in one artery alone.
• Islet-cell hypertrophy, test is positive is positive in multiple arteries. 21
