In 2016, Allison co-founded a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called STEMY (STEM + Youth) with a mission to foster innovation, curiosity, and learning in the community by engaging students of all ages, genders, and backgrounds in STEM education. Currently, she is the co-President of this organization and manages funding, marketing, and design.
Education
Allison is currently a high school student at duPont Manual High School in Louisville, Kentucky.
Brief Biography
Allison has always had a passion for medicine and research and has won several awards for her past research projects. Most recently, she researched a broad spectrum, stem cell-based vaccine for cancer prophylaxis. Her current work is focused on growing and expanding STEMY's impact in the local community. In her spare time, she enjoys running and playing with her two cats.
