Physical examination

Appearance of the patients

  • Patients with hypogonadism usually appear tired and in bad mood.[1][2]
  • In adults, general appearance shows abscent of secondary sexual characteristics. In males no beards and in females no breast development.

Skin

  • In males:
    • Pubic hair loss is observed.
    • No beard hair.
  • In female:
    • No axillary hair

Genitourinary

  • In males:
    • Small testicular size
    • Congenital signs may be found like hypospadius.
  • In females:
    • Amenorrhea
