Surgical modalities include:
- Total hysterectomy with unilateral or bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy
- Unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy
- Extirpation of struma ovarii
- For malignant struma ovarii, infra-colic omentectomy is preferred.
