Classification

• In accordance with the classification proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2004 for thyroid carcinomas, Malignant Struma ovarii (MSO) are henceforth categorized into 3 subtypes:

• Classic variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma (cPTC)
• Follicular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma (FVPTC)
• Follicular thyroid carcinoma.
