Overview
Other diagnostic findings may include serum and CSF angiotensin converting enzyme activities, serum ferritin to rule out hemochromatosis, human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) and genetic testing.
Other Diagnostic Studies
In order to further investigate the cause of hypopituitarism, following investigations may be done
- Serum and CSF angiotensin converting enzyme activities to rule out neurosarcoid
- Serum ferritin to rule out hemochromatosis
- Human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) to rule out germ cell tumors
- Genetic testing in isolated/syndromic MPHD (multiple pituitary hormonal deficiency)
