Abdominal CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of adrenolipoma.
Key CT Scan Findings in Adrenolipoma
Key CT findings associated with adrenolipoma are:
- Well circumscribed adrenal mass with fat-containing components
- Calcifications may be seen in some cases
- Haemorrhage presents as a region of higher attenuation
Patient #1: CT images demonstrate a large left adrenolipoma
Patient #2: CT images demonstrate a left adrenolipoma with a small amount of macroscopic fat
