There are no established risk factors for thymoma.[1]
Risk Factors
- There are no environmental risk factors for thymoma; however, several case reports have described an association with human foamy virus, Epstein-Barr virus, human T-cell lymphotropic virus type 1 infections and thymoma.[1]
- Thymoma may be observed among patients with MEN 1 syndrome
