Incidence
Primary spontaneous pneumothorax

Secondary spontaneous pneumothorax

Age
Patients of all age groups may develop pneumothorax.
Race
There is no racial predilection to pneumothorax.
Gender
- Males are more commonly affected by pneumothorax than females. The male to female ratio is approximately 3 to 1.
