Indications
Surgical intervention is not recommended for the management of scleroderma. How ever surgical intervention is needed to treat complications of scleroderma which include:
- Debulking procedure for the treatment of calcinosis cutis[1]
- Lung transplantation in severe cases of pulmonary hypertension that do not respond to medical therapy[2]
