Overview
Echocardiography/Ultrasound
- Echocardiography may be helpful in the diagnosis of Amyloidosis. Findings on an echocardiography suggestive of Amyloidosis include:[1][2]
- ‘Sparkling or speckled appearance’ of the LV thickening
- Hypertrophied right ventricle
- Diastolic dysfunction with restrictive filling pattern (in the advanced stages)
- Severe atrial dilatation
- Interatrial septum thickening
- Pericardial effusion
