Overview
There are no echocardiography/ultrasound findings associated with Chagas disease [1]
Echocardiography/Ultrasound
The most Common Echocardiographic findings in chronic Chagas Disease:
- Segmental wall motion abnormalities: hypokinesis, akinesis, or dyskinesia
- Inferior-inferolateral wall, usually basal segments
- LV apex
- Preserved septal contraction
- LV aneurysm
- LV diastolic dysfunction
- Dilated cardiomyopathy
- RV dysfunction
- Mural thrombus, mainly at LV apex
- Mitral and tricuspid regurgitation
