Overview
Ultrasonography may help in diagnosing complications of typhoid fever and differentiate it from other diseases presenting with similar symptomatology.[1][2][3][4]

Ultrasonography may help in diagnosing complications of typhoid fever and differentiate it from other diseases presenting with similar symptomatology. Complications which may be diagnosed with ultrasound inclulde:[1][2][3]
- Intestinal perforation (pneumoperitonium)
- Splenic abcess
- Acute acalculus cholecystitis[4]
- Chronic cholecystitis (chronic carrier state)
