Life Threatening Causes
Life-threatening causes include conditions that may result in death or permanent disability within 24 hours if left untreated.

- Listeria monocytogenes
Viral:
Fungal:
- Cryptococcus neoformans
- Aspergillus sp.
- Blastomyces dermatitidis
- Coccidioides immitis

- Histoplasma capsulatum
- Sporothrix schencki
