CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of cardiac and chest abnormalities related to the underlying organic disease in those with third-degree AV block.
CT scan
CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of cardiac and chest abnormalities related to the underlying organic disease in those with third-degree AV block. Findings on CT scan suggestive of/diagnostic of third degree AV block depends on the underlying cardiac condition causing third degree AV block. According to one study, almost 33 % of second or third degree patients had organic cardiac disease or chest abnormality that can be detected with combination of CT and TEE.[1]
