Overview
Echocardiography and renal ultrasound can reveal the diagnostic pattern of Fabry's disease in these organs.
Echocardiography
- Ventricular hypertrophy (left and right) especially: posterior basal wall
- Function
- Systolic function: Preserved
- Diastolic function: decrease (mild to moderate)
- Valvular anomalies
- Mitral valve: Thickening, Prolapse
- Aortic valve: Thickening, Dilatation
Ultrasound
Renal ultrasound
- Renal Cyst: cortical and parapelvic
- Increased parenchymal echogenicity
- Decreased cortical thickening
