Dravyaguna Vijnan is a part of Ayurveda. It can be correlated with the Pharmacology in modern medicine. The word 'Dravya" means 'drug'. The word 'Guna' means 'properties' and the word 'Vijnan' means knowledge or science. Therefore the term 'Dravyaguna Vijnan' means the science that deals with the study of the properties of drugs.
