HealthQuest

HealthQuest is a 6000 square foot multi-specialty healthcare practice located at Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. The facility aims at a quick restoration of a painless lifestyle for patients with conditions such as back pain, sports injuries, spondylosis, and arthritis. Their way of therapy is a blend of neurology, chiropractic, neuromuscular rehabilitation, orthopedics, and physical therapy. HealthQuest offers three kinds of care – relief, corrective, and maintenance.

HQBK

HealthQuest has on its staff, board certified practitioners. In addition to treatment, patients are advised on how to avoid recurrence of a particular problem, and on other preventative measures. The facility extends its services across the Brooklyn area and accepts Medicare, Workers Compensation, and almost all other major medical insurance plans. A budget plan is made available for patients who require more number of visits than that permitted by their insurance coverage. The center accepts emergency appointments.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Accreditation by American College of Radiology (ACR)

• Unswerving 80% success rate for termination of the smoking habit through auriculotherapy

SPECIALTIES

Rehabilitation

Recuperation solutions are provided for smoking addicts; stroke victims; patients suffering from fractures, neurological impairments, orthopedic problems, congenital defects, head injuries, or chronic illness. Low-tech and high tech rehabilitation equipment is used.

Physical Therapy

Treatment modalities such as heat, cold, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), myofascial release, traction, ultrasound, massages, and physical therapy exercises are utilized to alleviate pain, reduce disability, and return body function.

MRI & Diagnostics

HealthQuest has been accredited by the American College of Radiology. It is one of the clinics offering openMRI. Open MRI is a sophisticated method of diagnostic imaging which develops in depth images of structures inside the body, without utilizing ionized radiation. These images help to detect tumors, sports injuries, disorders of the muscles and joints, and abnormalities.

Spinal Decompression

Non-surgical and FDA approvedspinal decompression is offered to treat problems such as disc hernia, foramenal stenosis, radiculopathy, numbness, sciatica, tingling, and disc protrusion.

Smoking Cessation

Since 2000, HealthQuest has successfully curbed smoking addictions through the adoption of an FDA approved, painless and short duration technique called auriculotherapy. The technique works by stimulating the release of endorphins, a naturally occurring element. The endorphins get rid nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Orthopedics

A treatment methodology integrating physical and radiological evaluations, patient history, localized anesthesia and individualized care is adopted to diagnose, prevent and treat musculoskeletal afflictions and diseases. The facility specializes in sports medicine, foot and ankle, hip and knee, spine, and pediatric orthopedics.

Pain Management

Both acute and chronic pain is countered with techniques such as manual methods, TENS, muscle relaxant and/or analgesic medication, prolotherapy, and radiofrequency radio ablation.

Weight Loss Program

Auricular therapy is used to control appetite, reduce cravings and to make the patient more in control of his weight. The treatment is painless and safe.

Slip/Fall Prevention

A fall risk assessment and conditioning program is offered by the facility. The program is in keeping with American Geriatric Society Clinical Practice Guidelines for Prevention of Falls in Older Adults. It is geared towards enhancing mobility and increasing independence.
