Ed Stehlik

Edward A. Stehlik Sr. M.D., F.A.C.P, is an Internal Medicine specialist practicing at Northtowns Medical Group, PC where he is a founder and managing partner of the group. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Kenmore Mercy Hospital since 1990, making him the longest-tenured hospital head in Western New York. Elected as Governor of the Upstate New York Branch of the American College of Physicians (ACP), Dr. Stehlik completed his four year term in 2010 with many awards. He served as President of the New York Chapter of the ACP from 2009-2010, and in 2010 was selected to be a Master of the American College of Physicians. This recognition will be bestowed at the annual meeting in April 2011 and will make him the 6th Internist in Western New York to be recognized as a Master by the ACP.

Also serving as Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo's School of Medicine, Dr. Stehlik has been recognized with several honors, including the Seigel Award for Excellence in Medical Education and the Norman Chassin Award for Excellence in Internal Medicine. He received Kenmore Mercy’s “Tribute to Angels” honor (jointly with his wife), the New York ACP’s “Laureate Award” and the ACP’s “Top 10 Key Contact Award”. His peers have selected him as one of the “Best Doctors in America” since 2003 (www.bestdoctors.com). Buffalo Spree Magazine has listed him in their “Top 100 Doctors in Western New York” regularly since 2006. Completing his medical school training at the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and his residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Stehlik is Board Certified in his specialty of Internal Medicine, is a member of dozens of professional societies, committees and associations, and serves on numerous local Boards and Committees.
