The International Academy of Pathology was founded in the early 20th century, with the first documented meeting in 1907. An early scientist, Dr. William Osler, played a key role in establishing the International Association of Medical Museums (IAMM).
The name was changed in 1955 to the International Academy of Pathology (IAP).[1]
