Overview
Lung pathologies usually cause hypoxia and confusion if untreated. Chest x ray is the most important tool to evaluate such conditions. It helps in identifying various lung lesions and infections.

Lung pathologies like respiratory failure, respiratory depression, infections are one of the main causes of confusion. Chest x ray aids in diagnosis of these condition's. It is useful to identify co morbid condition even if cause of confusion is not primarily from lung. It has a significant role to play in elderly individuals admitted to hospital.
