For diagnosing ischemic stroke in the emergency setting:[1]
- sensitivity= 83%
- specificity= 98%
MRI scan
- sensitivity= 81%
- specificity= 100%
For detecting chronic hemorrhages, MRI scan is more sensitive.[2]
