1. Acute radiculopathy with any one of the following three findings:
- OR
- B. Saddle anesthesia (numbess of the buttocks and groin area)
- OR
- C. Bilateral neurological symptoms
- OR
2. Rapid decline in muscle strength in a specific anatomic distribution (not generalized weakness, but weakness in the right leg for instance)
