Overview
There are many still unknown about delirium. Studies are being conducted to understand pathophysiology, more effective ways of prevention, utilization of EEG and CT/MRI scan etc.
Future or Investigational Therapies
Currently many studies are being conducted to identify various pharmacological approaches to prevent and treat delirium such as;
Studies to improve diagnosis and prevention of delirium:
- PiTStop, a complex intervention to prevent delirium.[4]
- Transcranial doppler to diagnose and monitor delirium.[5]
