Symptoms & Signs

❑ Altered mental status
❑ Clammy skin ± cyanosis
❑ Hypotension (MAP <70 mmHg)
❑ Oliguria (urine output <0.5 mL/kg/h)

❑ Tachycardia (heart rate >100 bpm)

Shock

Ventilate

❑ Intubation with mechanical ventilation

Infuse

❑ Normal saline 500–1000 mL every 10–15 minutes (for septic and hypovolemic shock)
❑ Normal saline 100–200 mL boluses (for cardiogenic shock)

Pump

❑ Norepinephrine 0.1–2.0 μg/kg/min
