- Mollaret's meningitis
- Preferred regimen: supportive care AND Acyclovir 400 mg bid–tid OR Famciclovir 250 mg PO bid OR Valacyclovir 500 mg PO qd
- VZV meningitis
- Preferred regimen: supportive care AND Acyclovir 10 mg/kg IV q8h for 10–14 days, followed by Valacyclovir 1 g PO tid
